Course Evaluations

Let no one say that your professor is not paying attention to what students think! Here's some pretty darn good evidence of me being corrected by student feedback. (No, it is not the case that I eased up on the exams... so one cannot argue that I bought the improvement in the evaluations by bribing the students. However, I do admit to one thing that changed between my first year at UCSD and the rest: I stopped wearing suits. Perhaps if I start teaching in flip-flops, I will hit 100% approval?) Anyway, my first year was abysmal in terms of teaching evaluations in both my undergrad classes. I redesigned the courses after reading the evaluations, and it seems it actually worked. So here we go. The two crucial questions are at the bottom: do students recommend the course and do they recommend the instructor (me).
